Shanto sees BPL as platform for emerging cricketers

DHAKA, Sept 15, 2026 (BSS)— National Test captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto has expressed his excitement about the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 tournament, citing it as an important platform for players to prove themselves and emerging cricketers to make their mark.

Shanto shared his thoughts in a video released in the official BPL page, recalling his long association with the tournament and the thrill he feels ahead of each season.

“By the grace of Allah, I have been playing in the BPL for many years. Every year, whenever I hear that the BPL is going to start, there is a different thrill. This is a very big platform for us as players. If we can perform well there, it always brings something positive for ourselves and our careers,” he said.
