11.47pm: Ollie Robinson is chatting to Mark Butcher in the Sky studio. “I’ve been doing a lot of fitness work with the England backroom staff,” he says. “I played a few games in the 50-over comp to get my loads up. It’s been quite a nice run-in.” He says that Joe Root and Marcus Trescothick told him to “set the tone”, which he did when trapping Azan Awais lbw with the first ball of the day. On his length, Robinson says: “It’s something that I’ve worked really hard on. When I was in the team before, I probably bowled a little bit shorter… On the pitches we’ve played on recently, that’s been a massive factor. It’s just about being brave with your length, I think, get the guys driving and setting your fields slightly straighter.”
